Basic working principle
The fully automatic sampling controller gradually transfers solid and semi-solid samples to the combustion furnace according to the program settings to complete the processes of evaporation, carbonization, ashing, etc. Finally, it undergoes combustion cracking in an oxygen rich environment within the temperature range of 800-1100 ℃, and then uses the absorption liquid in the absorption part to absorb fixed combustion steam. After complete absorption, the absorption solution is automatically pumped into the ion chromatography system to complete the determination of various halogens and sulfur compounds. In this system, a certain concentration of phosphate is often added to the absorption solution as an internal standard to calibrate the analysis results; H2O2 is often added to the absorption solution to oxidize the partially oxidized S in the form of SO2 to SO3, and then quantitatively determine it in the form of SO42-.
1. Adsorption
Fill the activated carbon adsorption column, connect the adsorption device, and then transfer the water sample into the sample tube of the adsorption device. Cover and seal it, adjust the nitrogen pressure, and let the water sample flow through the adsorption column at a speed of 2-3 ml/min.
2. Combustion cracking (achieved by combustion furnace)
Preheat the combustion furnace and maintain it at 950 ± 10 ℃. Adjust the oxygen pressure and flow meter to blow oxygen into the combustion tube at a speed of 120-150 ml/min. The speed of blowing oxygen into the outer tube is 40-60 ml/min
Open the silicone plug at the inlet of the combustion tube sample. Use a flat top needle to transfer all the wet activated carbon adsorbed in the activated carbon adsorption column into the alumina boat, and add the plug.
Push the alumina boat into the preheating area of the combustion tube (at the furnace mouth). Stay for 2 minutes, then slowly push the alumina boat into the high-temperature area. After 3 minutes, pull it out to the sample inlet and continue blowing oxygen for 4-5 minutes.
3. Enrichment absorption
Remove both the absorption tube and the connecting tube from the combustion system, and gently blow air from the outlet end of the absorption tube with an ear ball (do not blow out the absorption liquid from the tube). Rinse repeatedly to allow the mist droplets from the inlet end of the absorption tube and the connecting tube to enter the absorption tube.
